Content Management AG (CM-AG), a leading developer of web-based applications, today began showcasing its latest release of CM4all Sites including responsive designs, a completely revamped editor engine and various feature updates at HostingCon 2014. The premier North American conference and trade show for the hosted services industry is being held in Miami, Florida, from June 16 to 18, 2014.
The latest release, which is now available for installation at our OEM partners worldwide, includes more than 650 designs – nearly half of them already responsive. Each responsive design in CM4all Sites supports five different website formats ranging from portrait for smartphones to widescreen for desktop monitors. An enhanced editor engine optimized for responsive website content was built into the release by CM4all, and all widgets were subsequently reworked to provide the best possible result for end users. Even complex features like galleries, maps or online shops can now be displayed correctly on all devices. As a result, a website's entire content, widgets included, is adapted to the particular end user device, not just the design.
“OEM partnerships are long-term engagements for us, and we pride ourselves on being the site building technology provider of choice for hosters, ISPs and telcos worldwide. Continual product development and evolution are key. In the case of responsive designs, that meant creating a completely revamped editor engine, updating our CM4all widget technology and reworking all of our widgets to achieve true and market-leading responsiveness,” says Robert Schovenberg, CEO of CM-AG.
Along with CM4all’s ongoing initiative to grow its selection of responsive designs, the most recent CM4all Sites release also incorporates additional formatting options such as column layouts, web fonts and background images. Furthermore, all of the default content in the initial industry-specific, pre-configured websites has been updated to better align with the selected category and to fully leverage the extended formatting options. Further enhancements to CM4all Sites are already planned and will provide even greater user choice and creative flexibility.
The latest release of CM4all Sites, its unrivaled OEM customization options for consumer, business or vertical markets, and the latest widget additions will be on display for HostingCon’s international audience at booth #200.
