Content Management AG (CM-AG), a leading developer of web-based applications, is proud to announce that Deutsche Telekom AG (DT-AG) has licensed and successfully launched the new “Homepage Creator”, an individualized site building solution based on the CM4all Sites platform. With circa twelve million broadband customers, Deutsche Telekom AG is one of Europe's largest telecommunications providers. Since 2003, the company has continuously relied on software solutions by Cologne-based Content Management AG to enable its customers to create and host their websites.
Against the background of a well-established, long-time partnership and a lively exchange in the early stages of development, DT-AG was the first OEM partner worldwide to integrate CM-AG’s latest product innovation into its portfolio. In a comprehensive implementation project over several months, CM4all Sites was completely adapted to DT-AG’s user concept, corporate design, and usability requirements in a close collaboration between the two companies. Since its launch in August 2010, the “Homepage Creator” site builder has been a central part of all homepage packages DT-AG offers to consumers and business customers.
“The increased flexibility and future-proof architecture of the latest generation of licensed CM4all software enabled us to ideally realize our product concept while profiting from the proven technology as well as meeting our high quality standards,” explains Hans Panse, Vice President Business Products at Deutsche Telekom AG.
CM4all Sites is based on a completely revamped CM4all technology and a new GUI while retaining most of the proven administrative APIs and the existing hardware architecture. An integral part of CM4all Sites is CM-AG's new widget technology which allows for convenient drag & drop, configuration, and arrangement of all website elements. Built-in widgets range from contact forms through weather forecasts to social media connectivity with Twitter® and Facebook®. CM4all Sites is designed with an open widget API that allows for continuous development of widgets by CM-AG, OEM partners, and external software engineers and facilitates the integration of third-party value-added services. Deutsche Telekom AG leverages that option to offer its own widgets for its existing WebShare service and online shop solutions, among other things.
“We are excited to further expand our long-term partnership with Deutsche Telekom AG,” says Robert Schovenberg, CEO of CM-AG. “With our ground-breaking widget and template concept, end customers will benefit from a continuously growing number of features, more freedom in designing their own professional website, and increased usability.”
The improved template model of CM4all Sites enables users to fully customize the included set of pre-defined CSS-based design templates. Colors, fonts, and images can be individualized, and end users can upload their own logos and images to integrate into a design template. A unique WYSIWYG editor with full drag & drop functionality and a dynamic Office-style toolbar allow for direct editing without any pop-ups. For convenient file administration, CM4all Sites also includes a comprehensive file browser with an interactive “drop zone” for easy uploading of the user's own images and files to the user's webspace.
