Organized by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the ICANN GDD summit is the premier event for hosting and domain registry providers.
The 2017 ICANN GDD summit in Madrid was the third event in this format after the events in Santa Monica 2015 and Amsterdam in 2016.
The annual GDD summit is a smaller special interest event with around 400 attendees, while in comparison, the main ICANN summits have some 3,000+ attendees and are held every quarter in rotating locations worldwide.
Delegates from the largest hosting and domain providers traveled to Madrid to discuss current topics ranging from data privacy to botnets and brand TLDs.
CM4all participated in the ICANN GDD Summit for the second time. The smaller event size and an audience very relevant to CM4all set the stage for very good meetings with both potential new and existing CM4all partners.
