Open-Xchange is the leading messaging and groupware software embedded by global telecommunication and internet service providers. The Open-Xchange summit is a yearly event for Open-Xchange customers and partners held in different European and US locations. CM4all and Open-Xchange are closely aligned in terms of the customer segments they target and their go-to-market approach, so it made a lot of sense for CM4all to once again sponsor the Open-Xchange Summit and exhibit our newest innovations.
Open-Xchange Summits stand out amid the many global events CM4all sponsors and attends due to its high-level attendees, top-notch organization and location, and truly thoughtful keynotes and presentations
At this Summit, which was held on October 13, the keynote I recall being most interesting was by Mikko Hipponen, who is Chief Research Officer at F-Secure Corporation, the antivirus and cybercrime authority. Mikko illustrated how virus threats have evolved over the last 25 years from a hobby pursued by a few computer nerds to a multibillion dollar “industry,” and how service providers should address these challenges.
CM4all received very positive feedback on our newest innovations, which we presented at the event. The announcement of the CM4all and ePages alliance, combining a best-of-breed site builder with a best-of-breed e-commerce product, was extremely well received throughout the entire industry.
