Our latest CM4all Sites release contains a lot of innovations and improvements, including a number of new and completely reworked social widgets.
Our aim was to clearly separate two types of social widgets:
The following ‘Like’ or ‘Share’ widgets are now available in CM4all Sites:
All of them feature a uniform configuration dialog. Users can configure the ‘Like’ for the whole site or only a specific page, and define the location for the bubble showing the number of likes.
The new ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ widgets all include the ‘Secure Click’ functionality. This ensures that website visitor data is only passed on to the specific social platform if the visitor allows it.
‘Secure Click’ can be switched on and off in the configuration dialog of each ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ widget.
Our new Facebook Page widget is for users with their own Facebook Page. This widget allows them to advertise their Facebook Page on their website by choosing between two options: embedding the Facebook Like box or defining their own teaser for Facebook.
The Facebook teaser is a new feature that enables users to place their own text in a small Facebook-style image on their website. This teaser links to the user’s Facebook Page, offering our users additional cross-site networking options for their various web activities.
