San Diego has always been among our favorite destinations in the US, and the exhibition center conveniently located next to the famous Gaslamp Quarter again proved to be an excellent location for a tech exhibition. While we had hoped for more visitors to the exhibit hall – which featured our booth alongside 150 others – we were once again very busy and happy with the three days packed full of meetings with our partners. There was also plenty of time for networking and a variety of sponsored events in the evenings that allowed people to connect and continue talking in a social atmosphere throughout the three-day event. The VIP beach party at the famous Hotel del Coronado hosted by our partner ECWID was the most memorable one yet.
One of the major new features recently added to CM4all Sites that we presented for the first time at the show was our website importer. The importer speeds up and further improves the user experience for customers with an existing website, who do not necessarily want to start from scratch. The new import capability, which is fully integrated into the Instant Setup page, can be used to import core website components, such as the navigation structure, website copy, images and others, into a newly selected website design at the touch of a button. The result is an efficient and intuitive process that makes a great starting point for an up-to-date, responsive website easily expanded with the addition of state-of-the-art widgets. Throughout the show, we gained a lot of positive feedback on our product from the hosting and cloud community along with valuable input for further improvement. We can proudly say that the overall concept of the importer was very well accepted given the huge potential of existing websites ready for relaunch and a fresh new look.
After the second major exhibition in the US within two months, the US market is as dynamic as ever. The hosting industry continues to consolidate while at the same time opening up opportunities for new players and innovative cloud-based products. Deepening existing partnerships and exploring the possibilities offered by new partnerships is exciting – and one of the main reasons we have sponsored and attended HostingCon since the very beginning.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to meet with us and view a demo of our latest release (including the importer) at the booth, attend a private meeting, exchange ideas or just have a drink or two. In the coming weeks, we will be busy following up on our meetings with existing and new partners as well as unlocking the new opportunities that opened up during the show.
