OX Summit is the annual summit event organized by groupware and e-mail leader Open-Xchange for its customers, prospects and partners. The 2017 OX Summit took place in Brussels on October 11 and 12 at “The Egg,” a former warehouse building transformed into a modern event venue. Attendees at the OX Summit included delegates of the leading telecommunications, Internet service and hosting providers from all continents. CM4all sponsored the summit for the third time: our presence at the event provides us with tremendous value. As OEM experts, Open-Xchange and CM4all share a similar approach to the market.
The Summit was an ideal opportunity to make new connections, discuss our innovations and engage with our valued partners. OX stands out from the many events we sponsor every year for its thoughtfully curated presentations and noteworthy speakers.
Two presentations made an especially lasting impression on me:
Serial entrepreneur Toon Vanaagt illustrated why open company and software development are the way to build flourishing businesses for the future while learning from the past.
Ethical hacker Jamie Woodruff demonstrated how vulnerable corporate and consumer IT infrastructure still is, even in 2017, pointing out problems ranging from poorly secured server rooms to spying dolls.
CM4all is already looking forward to the next summit!
