Universo Online S.A. (UOL) operates as an online media portal and Internet company in Brazil and internationally. Since it was founded in 1996, UOL is a pioneer in the development of the Internet in Brazil. Today UOL provides local Internet access in more than 3,000 cities throughout Brazil and 29,000 cities abroad. The company has approximately 1.74 million paying subscribers. Since September 1999, UOL has also operated a portal and Internet Service provider in Argentina.

Its flagship portal in Brazil is organized into 42 thematic stations with more than 1,000 channels of news, information, entertainment, and services, representing a total of more than seven million pages. UOL’s extensive interactive platform offers communication products, VoIP, Internet communities, security and search engine, among others.

CM-AG adapted the user interface of the CM4all OnlineDrive and Backup Client to UOL’s corporate design and installed the software in its data center. The CM4all OnlineDrive allows UOL’s users a state-of-the-art online file storage enabling the scalable fulfillment of an ever-growing market desire for storage space and file sharing.

In addition to a Web 2.0 file management system featuring a familiar drag-and-drop interface, the CM4all OnlineDrive offers value-added features, such as an ActiveX uploader allowing fast upload of multiple image files or ZIP archives, and a Backup Client for advanced file security and synchronization for both PCs and Macs. It also includes an image editor, comprehensive file views, extensive file search options, as well as advanced file sharing and user management capabilities.

UOL markets the English and Brazilian Portuguese versions of the CM4all OnlineDrive since December 2009.
