The CM4all Hosting Platform offers a modern shared hosting solution with a multitude of features. The components – or modules - offering the different services can be deployed and multiplied to different machines. This leads to high scalability and reliability as components can be multiplied not only to assure a high responsiveness when the number of users grows, but also to provide redundancy.

Each service can be chosen or configured in different packages in order to fit the requirements of your company’s planned product offering. For storing the files related to web space, existing NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems can be used.

Easy to use and secure, the CM4all Customer Control Panel integrates with authentication via single sign-on, provisioning and other systems. Here, your customers will operate their products, order domains, upgrade and check web statistics, tariffs and traffic in a secure SSL environment that bears your company’s branding.

This module is the basis for web hosting. It delivers websites to web browsers. If the web space is allowed to use CGIs, they are also handled by this service. This also includes the server-side scripting languages PHP and Perl for dynamic websites required by more technical customers.

The CM4all Hosting Platform also has a built-in security layer (Jail Environment) which encapsulates each single web space in its own protected environment. None of the commands used in this environment can harm the platform. The CGI environment including server side script languages can also be switched off for different product packages offered to your customers.

This module allows customers to store and handle data from CGIs in a relational database (MySQL). Each database is strictly assigned to its owner - i.e. the web space account holder.

Your customers will use this module to access files on their web space. Customers can use an FTP client or our web interface (Web FTP) for simple upload, download and modification of files.

With this component, customers securely connect to their environment which looks like a normal Linux/Unix system with a home folder representing web space. Due to the jail environment, any potential security vulnerability is avoided.

Using SMTP, IMAP and POP3 protocols you can provide your customers with a professional email service that can include web-based account access and additional mail configuration features.

This component allows your existing accounting and billing systems to be integrated within the CM4all Hosting Platform.

This module allows you to provide domain name registration. Using middleware, CM4all will connect this module to an agreed domain registrar allowing you to offer your customers domain name checks, searches and ordering.

The administration panel allows administrators to have customer information overview as well as specific account information. Customer accounts can be modified using the administration panel.

This component measures access to websites and all other relevant information including traffic. The results are then displayed in different front ends.

CM4all can integrate 3rd party software for download upon request. Possible software includes an HTML editor so users can generate HTML code or a PHP script for CGI functionality for a forum or guestbook to upload to their web space.

This is the gateway between the CM4all platform and the partner’s platform including the different services such as Single-Sign-On (SSO) systems and domain registration for example.
