Content Management AG Unveils Revamped Backup Client for CM4all OnlineDrive
Content Management AG adds new backup features to its online storage solution.
Content Management AG (CM-AG), a leading developer of web-based applications, has today announced the availability of a completely revamped backup client for its online storage solution CM4all OnlineDrive.
CM4all OnlineDrive is a highly scalable, brandable online software solution aimed at ISPs, web hosts, telcos and cable providers that enables them to offer sophisticated and safe storage of files in their own data centers. Accessibility via an intuitive web interface, WebDAV or mobile apps provides end users with data availability anywhere in the world and on any web-enabled computer or mobile device.
With the CM4all Backup Client, users can schedule backups to their CM4all OnlineDrive with the security of 128-bit encryption. The fully brandable application automates synchronization of user data on local PCs with their CM4all OnlineDrive accounts in an OEM’s data center, ensuring that all files are backed up regularly.
The latest improvements include a new profile wizard that enables users to create backup profiles with just a few clicks. Users can also set filters to include or exclude data according to file size, format, date, location, etc. The newly integrated e-mail notifier automatically provides status information for scheduled backup processes. Additionally, extended log files that record traffic and all file synchronizations provide a valuable monitoring and reporting tool. In order to facilitate the transfer of large files, the application supports automated file splitting and reassembly as well as general data compression when uploading files via the backup client to ensure efficient transfer times.
A dedicated restore wizard ensures data consistency and facilitates the restoration of data by guiding users through the process. The new backup client also enables users to define the number of file versions to be kept in their CM4all OnlineDrive account. This allows easy tracking of file histories and convenient selection of the desired version when restoring backed-up files.
