CM4all signs multi-year agreement with leading Brazilian telco

Brazilian Internet Service Provider IG Empresas completes its Value Added Services portfolio with CM4all WebsiteCreator Business Edition, the market leading site builder.

CM4all, leading provider of Web-based applications, is proud to announce that it will expand their business in Latin America. IG Empresas recently signed a multi-year deal for CM4all’s core product CM4all WebsiteCreator Business Edition.

iG Empresas is the business unit of Internet Group S/A (iG)  dedicated to provide web hosting services to SOHO and SMB markets. Internet Group is a 100% subsidiary of Brasil Telecom S.A. (BrT), a major Brazilian telecomunications company headquartered in the Brazilian capital. Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, the sixth most populous, and the seventh biggest country in Internet usage. With about one third of the region’s population, Brazil is Latin America’s largest telecoms market.

“With iG Empresas/Brasil Telecom we now can add another large scale Internet Service Provider to our customer base” Robert Schovenberg explains. “Thanks to our long-time experience and successful work with some of the biggest telcos and Internet Service Providers worldwide like Terra Networks, BT, Deutsche Telekom, NTT and many others, we are in a position to guarantee that iG can safely rely on our service and products. iG will definitely benefit from this decision.”

“After an extensive market evaluation, we decided to integrate the CM4all WebsiteCreator Business Edition to extend our value added services portfolio. Strategy wise it is an important step to decide on working with an external application provider. We have set ambitious goals and have high expectations but with the decision for the market leading CM4all WebsiteCreator, we are also pretty sure that we have chosen the right product and the right partner”, Flavio Elizalde, Director of iG Empresas states.

Users will be able to create professional-looking websites with useful and powerful features such as flash intro with preloaded templates and integrated flash editor, premium maps with location planner and database module. The latest version of the software is also enriched with corporate multimedia broadcast power through the updated Business Media Albums, a new Business Blog as well as a SEO toolset for Google Analytics®, automatic sitemap.xml creation and keyword entries. Furthermore, it enables the user to simultaneously publish HTML, .mobi and W3C Web Accessible pages in easy and intuitive steps.

CM4all will adapt the user interface of the CM4all WebsiteCreator to iG Empresas’ corporate design before installing it in iG Empresas’ data center. CM4all will administer the software remotely, safeguard its availability with 24/7 support and continuously update both the Operating System and CM4all Application. The launch of this service is planned for later this year. Other existing CM4all partners in Brazil include Terra Networks S.A. and Locaweb.
